About Me

Hi there! I’m Mandy Poulsen. I’m a native to Utah but have been living the dream in sunny San Diego for 10 years! I can hardly believe it's been that long. We moved here for my husband to start law school in 2010, and we just haven't been able to leave. I mean, could there be a more beautiful place to be a photographer?! I have fallen in love with the beach, and I think my life would feel incomplete without it.

I fell in love with photography during my second year of college when I was trying to decide what to do with my life. My intro to photography teacher inspired me in more ways than she will ever know. I took a few classes, mentored with some fantastic photographers, oh, and bought my first camera! I’ve been loving it ever since.

I’m a natural light photographer. I love kids, couples, babies, baby bumps, and people…I really really love getting to know new people. I enjoy capturing the little moments in life that we never want to forget. I am a mommy to 4 little girls, who are my whole world, and I have an amazing husband who has always supported my passion for photography. I have realized, now that I'm in full-blown mom life, that time absolutely flies by whether I want it to or not. I am always so grateful for the big and little moments that I have captured on camera because lets be honest, we can't remember them all. I can't even remember what I ate for breakfast most days! So while that little family of yours is growing and changing, let me capture those precious moments for you. You can never have too many photos. Let's get together and create some memories!
